Key Responsibilities:
Development Management & Construction Oversight
Assess feasibility and make recommendations for development and value add projects.
Lead procurement and oversight of development and construction services to execute and deliver agreed initiatives to a high standard.
Manage external development managers and consultants, ensuring commercial, technical, and ESG alignment.
Asset Ownership & Performance
Lead end-to-end asset management for allocated developments, ensuring delivery of best-in-class, future-proofed assets.
Develop and implement development /asset strategies aligned with business plans and SMART objectives.
Drive value creation and performance through feasibility, planning, leasing, design, and development/ value-add / asset management initiatives.
Design & Operational Readiness
Oversee design for management strategies, ensuring seamless tenant onboarding and operational readiness.
Coordinate with property managers to maintain legal, statutory, and management documentation.
Investment & Transactions
Partner with Capital Markets and Fund Managers to advise on investment opportunities and support on acquisitions, disposals and JVs.
Contribute to due diligence, risk mitigation, and transaction execution.
Valuation & Reporting
Own asset/development valuation processes, ensuring data accuracy and market insight.
Support fund reporting, performance tracking, and client communications.
ESG Leadership
Champion M&G Real Estate's ESG strategy across development and construction activities.
Ensure compliance with sustainable development standards and contribute to ESG policy and implementation.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
Lead relationships for developments/value add investments with JV partners, agencies, and consultants.
Collaborate across teams and regions to share best practices and ensure governance.
External Representation
Represent M&G in the market through media engagement, industry events, and trade body participation.
Liaise with Corporate Communications and Government Affairs as needed.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, governance, and health & safety requirements.
Maintain compliance with internal policies, client mandates, and financial crime regulations
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:RICS qualified with extensive development / value add experience across commercial sector real estate markets
Demonstrable track record, with strong all round knowledge of / development investment / asset management
Client side, agency or professional experience delivering large scale, high value commercial developments, demonstrating clear understanding of real estate portfolio development and asset investment performance drivers
Demonstrable leadership credentials, willing to take on additional responsibilities, to share knowledge, mentor and develop colleagues and to play an active role beyond the core day to day role
Proven communication, report writing, presentation & relationship building skills
Strong numeracy skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
Superior time management & organisational skills
Extensive business and market contacts
Leadership and mentoring skills that develop and motivate colleagues.
