Senior Oversight Manager
London
As a Barclays Senior Oversight Manager, you will join our UK Regulatory Capital Rules Oversight team, providing oversight and challenge to the interpretation and application of UK regulatory requirements for regulatory capital and liquidity calculations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a knowledgeable team, where you will be playing a key role, assisting in establishing an approach for the governance of these requirements working with Risk colleagues, and the execution of the same.

Hybrid Working

What will you be doing?

• Providing First and Second Line of Defence review and challenge interpretive proposals, based on independent assessment of appropriate regulatory capital and liquidity treatment
• Delivering high quality regulatory capital and liquidity analyses and reviews by maintaining robust technical understanding of the UK and EU Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR)
• Obtaining a clear understanding of the business context and economic drivers, analysing all potential conclusions and options with associated risks and justifications
• Preparing periodic end-to-end assessments of the Barclays Group capital rule application framework
• Engaging with lines of business, Risk, Finance and other key stakeholders on UK and EU regulatory capital and liquidity-related work-streams and initiatives
• Being a central point of expertise and advice for Risk on UK regulatory capital and liquidity requirements for the Barclays Group
• Overseeing the horizon scanning, analysing and implementing the emerging regulatory requirements for standardised RWA calculations
• Promoting the significance of regulatory compliance and role of the PRA Regulatory Interpretations Pre-screening Group and other Barclays stakeholders

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Experience in a leading banking institution, central bank, prudential regulator, or similar, with experience implementing aspects of the regulatory capital and liquidity calculations
• A track record of dealing with complex transactions, understanding their commercial rationale and applying judgment in the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements
• Good technical understanding of current UK and EU Regulatory Capital and Liquidity Rules as well as awareness of future regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to engage with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels

• Good software skills, with a high proficiency in the use of MS applications
• Delivery focused, highly organised and proactive, with attention to details and the ability to manage multiple complex projects, delivering within tight timeframes

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place has onsite amenities such as: a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and it is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
