Our client a leading global publisher of highly illustrated books is looking for a talented and commercially minded UK Sales Manager to join its London-based team. This is a hybrid role, combining 3 days in their London office with 2 day working from home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's confident managing major UK accounts, full of ideas, and ready to make their mark in a creative, fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with the Sales Director, you'll take ownership of key UK retail relationships - including Waterstones, Amazon, and key wholesalers. You'll oversee a team of experienced freelance sales agents, ensuring they have the tools, information, and support to represent the list effectively.
You'll also play an active role in customer meetings, trade fairs, and author events - creating compelling pitches and presentations, and identifying new opportunities to grow the publisher's reach across the UK market.
Who we're looking for
Experience working with key UK book trade accounts
Strong commercial insight and a confident, solutions-focused approach to sales
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficient in tools such as Excel, Google Drive, BookScan, and Edelweiss
A genuine interest in books, especially in the areas of art, design, photography, and food
