We are seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student to join our team for a summer placement focused on improving our ESG management system to result in increased scores on independent scoring schemes such as ECOVADIS. The successful candidate will work closely with our Technical & Compliance, BID and HR teams to identify areas for improvement, implement initiatives, and measure progress towards our ESG goals.
The placement will be for a duration of 6 weeks over the summer months. Start date can be flexible however, we are aiming for commencement in early July to mid August.
Key Responsibilities
:
Conduct research and analysis of current ESG performance metrics and scores on independent assessment platforms.
Identify key opportunities for improvement in environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall ESG performance.
Assist in the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ESG standards and regulations.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong passion for environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team, managing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a good understanding of data analysis and presentation.
Prior experience or coursework related to ESG practices is a plus, though not required.
Experience:
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
