We are a long standing independent company who have been operating for over 20 years. We are looking for a Underwriting Support to join our Care Underwriting Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our continued success.

With in-house underwriting and an exclusive scheme with the United Kingdoms largest insurer we are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join us.

The Role

Working within an Underwriting Team you will play an essential part in the team.

You will handle submissions from brokers and prepare the submission to be quoted by an underwriting, you will carry out all the necessary pre-underwriting checks by ensuring the risk information falls within our criteria, sourcing information from external sources and uploading the data into our bespoke software.

No profile could possibly encompass all aspects of any particular role and this has been prepared to assist in identifying not all but the key features of the role objectives, responsibilities, knowledge & skills required and behaviours & attitude expected.

The ideal candidate will have

Essential

Be proficient in workload and case management Be proficient in Excel other IT applications Good attention to detail Able to work efficiently to timescales Be able to assist and work with the Senior Underwriters Provide logistical support for the Senior Underwriters Looking to grow in their role and career
Non-Essential but Desired

Knowledge of the Insurance Sector Ideally have experience or knowledge of Insurance Underwriting or Insurance Broking A good working knowledge of FCA rules Identify and develop improved, simplified and cost effective methods of underwriting and handling of the nominated products.

Pay: Up to 25,750.00 per year
