Rokstone Underwriting is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Underwriting Management Business Analyst to support our ongoing business transformation initiatives. This role is critical in delivering operational excellence across our delegated authority ecosystem, including the development and implementation of a new carrier hierarchy, reference data structures, and policy administration system onboarding.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in specialty insurance and bring strong technical and business analysis capabilities, especially around workflow design, system implementation, and stakeholder engagement. This is a dynamic position for someone who is not just a post-box analyst but an active contributor who can adapt across underwriting, finance, claims, bordereaux, and portfolio management functions.
Role Responsibilities
Support the underwriting management team in delivering strategic projects including reference data rationalisation, new carrier structures, and the implementation of underwriting workflows.
Drive workflow design initiatives across delegated authority operations, ensuring processes are robust, scalable, and auditable.
Lead the business analysis effort for the onboarding and integration of new policy administration systems and binder authorities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Finance, Claims, Bordereaux, Portfolio Management) to ensure project alignment and implementation success.
Develop and document system and process requirements, working closely with technical delivery teams to ensure accurate build and testing.
Contribute to UAT planning, execution, and feedback loops for system changes or new deployments.
Identify and resolve issues during design and implementation phases, using a proactive and analytical approach.
Produce relevant MI, workflow documentation, and training materials as required for project delivery.
Knowledge Required
Strong working knowledge of delegated authority structures and London Market underwriting operations (Lloyd's and Company markets).
Demonstrable experience in business analysis within a policy administration system implementation or transformation programme.
Skilled in process mapping, system documentation, and workflow design.
Familiarity with bordereaux and reference data governance is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience working in an MGA, syndicate, or speciality carrier environment.
Comfortable communicating technical requirements and collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders.
Role Requirements
4+ years of experience in specialty insurance, ideally with delegated authority or underwriting operations focus.
Proven business analysis experience, including delivery in system change or transformation environments.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage and influence at all levels.
Resilient, delivery-focused, and capable of working on multiple concurrent initiatives.
Advanced documentation and presentation skills.
* Able to work from the London office minimum 3 days per week.
