As the Underwriting Solutions Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert in building commercial lines underwriting solutions using Radar Fusion, our low-code SaaS platform. Radar Fusion supports an efficient, end-to-end underwriting journey, enhanced by WTW's predictive analytics and flexible enough to allow customisation of the UI, data model, workflow, and integrations.
You'll be a hands-on, advanced user of the platform - designing and building underwriting solutions, solving real-world problems, and helping evolve the configuration toolkit. Working closely with the development team, you'll provide feedback and guidance to shape the product and test new features before release.
This role bridges technical and business domains, representing the needs of client-side users who maintain their underwriting platforms. It's a unique opportunity to influence a transformative product and join a fast-growing, collaborative team known for delivering high-quality work at pace.
The Role:
Product Expertise:
Become a subject matter expert in Radar Fusion's configuration capabilities, including UI customisation, data modelling, service connections, and workflow design.
Complex Problem Solving:
Use your technical problem-solving skills and creativity to help solve complex real-world problems for underwriters, using the tooling provided by Radar Fusion.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Act as a bridge between developers, underwriters, and business users - translating needs, raising bugs, testing new features, and providing actionable feedback.
Discovery & Design:
Take a central role in client discovery sessions to understand business needs and translate them into effective Radar Fusion implementations. This includes designing data models, mapping and modelling underwriting workflows, and contributing to the creation of wireframes that support a sleek, intuitive user interface. You'll help shape implementation strategies and provide input into the design authority, ensuring each solution is both technically sound and user-friendly.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance the configuration experience for the user, request new features, and contribute to the evolution of Radar Fusion's tooling and capabilities.
Client Implementation:
Support client implementations as a subject matter expert, providing strategic and practical advice to ensure that Radar Fusion is tailored to meet the client's specific business needs.
Client Empowerment:
Deliver engaging demos and training sessions to empower client-side configuration users. Create reusable materials that simplify onboarding and ongoing usage.
Mentoring and Training:
Mentor junior team members and help to upskill new joiners. Provide guidance and share insurance domain expertise with the development team to enhance their understanding of business problems and to increase their user empathy.
