Unit Manager Haematology / Oncology Day Units
Job Description
This is a cross site working role, the unit manager will work between the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and Princess Royal in Haywards Heath Regularly interact with patients/ carers / relatives and allidentified on list of key working relationships. Provide highly complex information to patients / carers about all aspects of treatment (drug therapy, venous access devices, side effects management). Using the highest level of communication and interpersonal skills and ensuring that the information is in easily understood language. Lead in the implementation of quality initiatives that improve patient care Lead on agreed areas and projects.
Attend and participate in nurse meetings. Lead Patient First Huddles. Act as role model at all times. Support the team to monitor the quality of patient care and participate in the regular evaluation of patient satisfaction.
Lead on the identification of areas for change and development. Work across site if needed at times of clinical demand or unforeseen absences -- Please see Job description & Person Specs for further information --
