Key Responsibilities:
As
Unit Manager
, you'll play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the home, acting as a leader and role model to our care team. Your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as the senior person in charge during evenings or in the absence of the General Manager/Care Manager.
Providing the highest level of personal care to residents in line with individual care plans.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, infection control, and legal standards (Health & Social Care Act, COSHH, etc.).
Conducting Move-In assessments for potential new residents.
Supporting the development and review of individual care plans.
Coaching staff to enhance care planning and documentation skills.
Ordering, administering, and auditing medications; mentoring others in safe handling practices.
Monitoring residents' wellbeing and liaising with external professionals as needed.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of all resident information and incidents.
Encouraging and assisting residents in leisure and lifestyle activities.
Leading team meetings, training sessions, and shift coordination.
Supporting new staff through inductions and ongoing mentoring.
Completing audits, staff supervisions, and appraisals.
Supporting marketing strategies, show rounds, and handling enquiries via CoolCare.
Participating in the on-call rota for emergency support.
Collaborating with Lifestyle and care teams to ensure holistic care.
Completing any additional duties as required by management.

17.52 per hour
PAID breaks
08:00 - 20:00

Person Specification:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Minimum of
3 years' experience
in a care environment
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Direct Care)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to mentor and support team members effectively
Confident in care planning, medication administration, and compliance
A warm, approachable, and compassionate nature
Reliability, punctuality, and a genuine passion for delivering excellent care
Willingness to develop management skills further
