Full time Unit worker and relief Driver vacancy with PCS



This job is temporary, initially on a three-month contract with the potential to be permanent.

As a driver you will be responsible for covering driver's rounds and making sure that collections and deliveries are made in a timely fashion & in a caring and compassionate manner (heavy lifting involved).

During periods that you are not needed to cover driving duties you will be required to help with other aspects of the operation on site from picking and packing orders, helping out with administration duties and helping with general duties as required.

So, it is important that you are organised, accurate and pay close attention to detail.

You will do most of your training in the role whilst you are working but any specialist training will be provided away from the working environment.

The job role includes



Dealing with veterinary practices collecting deceased pets and clinical waste.

Completing company paperwork and documents.

Working closely with our veterinary customers.

Delivering supplies to veterinary practices.

Some gardening work.

General duties across the operation.

Hours of work



The role requires someone who is able to work 40 hours per week between Mondays to Friday inclusive. Start and finish times will vary dependant on the day's workload, mainly being 11am to 7pm or 9am to 5pm.

The salary for this role is 13.25 per hour, some overtime may be available.

Due to the location of the site your own transport will be essential.

Skills & qualities required for the role



You will need to have an organised approach and excellent time management skills.

Good communication skills

The ability to work well as part of a small team.

A good level of English spelling and grammar.

Accuracy and attention to detail

The ability to use your own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a supervisor.

It would be advantage if the candidate has some office experience so they can provide support to a busy office, filling, answering the telephone and general office duties.

ADR licence would be advantage but not essential.
