We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards
Supervise and support children throughout their day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and sharing updates with parents and team members
Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nappy changing, and outdoor play
Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Lead small groups or individual activities as required, demonstrating management and leadership capabilities
Skills
Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong understanding of early childhood development and education principles
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff or volunteers effectively
Ability to organise activities that promote learning through play
Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for childcare and child development
Reliable driver's licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external meetings or training sessions
