Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong management and leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare. A valid driving licence is desirable for this position.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's development across all areas of learning Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Foster a caring, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's individual needs Manage daily operational tasks within the nursery setting, including organisation of resources and activities Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, management skills, and leadership within the team

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment Childcare qualifications or relevant early childhood education certifications are preferred Ability to organise activities effectively whilst maintaining a nurturing environment Driving licence is desirable for travel between nursery locations or community engagements Passionate about childcare with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and learning
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 20 per week
