If you've already worked in schools as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or Classroom Support and are ready for the next step, this could be the perfect move.

We're working with two secondary schools in

Eastbourne

who are looking for confident, adaptable people to lead lessons when teachers are absent. You'll guide the class, manage behaviour, and keep learning on track -- all without the planning or marking that comes with teaching.

Every day is different, and you'll gain invaluable experience in what it's really like to be at the front of the room.

What you'll do:

Lead lessons using pre-prepared materials Support pupils aged 11-16 across a range of subjects Manage classroom behaviour and keep pupils engaged Work closely with teaching staff to ensure consistency and progress

This role suits people who:

Have worked as a TA, Learning Mentor, Behaviour Support or Unqualified Teacher Have graduated and considering teacher training. Have previous experience such as ex-forces, sports coaching, TEFL teaching, or youth work. Have strong communication and behaviour management skills Can think on their feet and build quick rapport with young people Are considering teacher training or want to develop classroom leadership experience

What's on offer:

Term-time work (8.30am-3.30pm, weekdays only) Paid classroom experience as a Cover Supervisor (official title) Supportive schools with excellent guidance from the Glow Educate team
