We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Upholstery Operative. As part of our upholstery team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products are produced to the highest standards.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

Cover furniture with padding and fabrics using a press tool with staples, tacks or glue

Working to tight deadlines in a fast environment with hourly targets

Make soft furnishings such as cushions or sofas

Burning and threading of buttons

Remove old upholstery and repair frames before reupholstering

Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly

Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment post assembly

Measure materials to mark reference points, cutting lines or other indicators

Operate sewing equipment advantageous

Examine the condition of products - Quality control

Conduct repairs where required

Record operational or production data

Essential and Desirable Skills

Attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Ability to use Microsoft packages

Physical dexterity

Understanding of 5S advantageous

Pay: From 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
