Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team in the heart of the manufacturing sector. This role of Team Leader is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality glass and UPVC frames, contributing directly to our mission of excellence and customer satisfaction.

You must have previous experience in this role and be able to run a small team of fabricators, have good knowledge of saw centre, welding and corner cleaners and everything down to Quality Control.

Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings and specifications for fabrication tasks Utilise TIG welding and various welding techniques to assemble components Operate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment safely and effectively Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards Collaborate with team members to optimise fabrication processes Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to safety protocols Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during production Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, particularly with glass and UPVC materials Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding methods Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations Ability to read technical drawings and schematics Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance Effective communication skills for teamwork and collaboration. 20 days holiday Production based bonuses and incentives Overtime when required
