We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window and Door Fabricator to join one of our clients based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing upvs wood and metal components with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements
Use hand tools, power tools, and material working equipment to cut, shape, and assemble upvc, wood and metal windows and doors
Conduct basic assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations
Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow efficiency
Skills
Experience working with various hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment
Strong understanding of fabrication processes and assembly techniques
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Basic mathematical skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Familiarity with sheet metal work, including cutting, bending, and joining processes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs
