The Role


You'll use your relevant knowledge and experience to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition sessions to our learner with highly complex SEND and SEMH needs.


Sessions will always take place during the day, according to fixed timetables, either in a learner's home or local community venue.


More specifically, you will:

Teach English and Maths for KS3 / KS4, plus additional subjects based on your specialism. Use creative, engaging educational approaches tailored to this learner's interests with include writing music, cooking and being creative. Build positive relationships and foster confidence in our learners.


About You


We're looking for passionate tutors with the following qualifications, experience and skills:

A Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent qualification At least 5 years of experience teaching complex SEN learners Relevant and up-to-date curriculum and subject knowledge The ability to combine mentoring and academics, building trust and supporting each learner on their personal journey Strong understanding of safeguarding and a willingness to complete any mandatory training necessary in this area Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain) Ability to travel to learner locations Dedication to making a long-term difference in our learners' lives Compassion, patience and resilience
