Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional self employed Courier Drivers from north Barnsley and Leeds/Bradford to join our team. We are expanding into new areas north of Barnsley and require new drivers for Leeds and Barnsley postcodes.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires the use of your own van or car, good organisational skills, and strong communication to ensure customer satisfaction. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely deliveries and excellent service.

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicles, including vans and cars, to deliver goods to customers and businesses/schools. Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times. Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit. obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate effectively with management and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred. Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type, including insurance and road tax. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, with physical stamina to handle upto 6/8 hours on the road. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools is beneficial. This role is ideal for organised individuals with a passion for driving and delivering excellent service in a professional environment.
