An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Urology Outpatient Department in a developmental role leading towards Band 6. This post offers a unique opportunity to develop specialist urology skills in a dynamic and supportive environment, working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team in the delivery of expert urological care.



As a Urology Staff Nurse , you will play a vital role in supporting both nursing and medical colleagues in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. This role is developmental, with structured training an supervision provided to support progression to a Band 6 Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist post.

Main Responsibilities:

Provide support to nursing and medical staff in the delivery of specialist care within the Urology Department.

Assist the Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in running nurse-led clinics such as Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) clinic , performing catheter changes , administering bladder instillations , and Uro-Dynamics clinic.

Assist in the Flexible Cystoscopy clinic.

Communicate effectively and appropriately with all members of the multidisciplinary team and service users involved in urology care.

Take responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, under the guidance and supervision of senior staff.
