Overview

This is an opportunity to assume a Supervisory role in the Chemical Synthesis Department and take on the Management for the people, equipment and facilities on the 1st shift. This position will give visibility to your management skills as you work with people on 1st shift providing direction and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct support of all 1st shift production needs
  • Support and oversight of all 1st shift personnel
  • The management representative on the Day Shift
  • Liaison with management on utilization, process and production improvements
  • Learn the equipment and oversee the Synthesis production processes.
  • Coordinate with the Section Leader on the1st shift to maximize utilization
  • Monitor building facilities and coordinate and troubleshoot problems with maintenance
  • Review SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and Batch Processing procedures for verification
  • Inspect reactors and filters for cleanliness
  • Responsible for monitoring critical chemical charges and sign verifications
  • Look for improvements in process flow and discuss potential solutions
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes when needed
  • Become familiar with the New Building equipment and processes
  • Work with the engineering team on getting the new equipment and automation up and going
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors degree desired in Chemistry / Engineering or 10 years manufacturing experience

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in production supervision/management
Skills:
  • Experience working in a chemical or Pharmaceutical process plan
  • Strong technical background with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Strong conflict management skills Lean Manufacturing experience is desired
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills (oral & written)
