Legacie Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Utilities Coordinator to join the team based out of its Head office in Liverpool.

Role Overview:



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Utilities Coordinator

to manage all utility services and council tax accounts across our property portfolio. This role ensures that gas, electricity, water, and council tax accounts are correctly set up, monitored, and closed throughout the tenancy lifecycle. You'll be the key point of contact for suppliers, local authorities, and internal teams, supporting smooth transitions during voids and tenancies while ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:



Set up, transfer, and close

utility accounts

(electricity, gas, water) and

council tax accounts

for properties during tenancy changes. Manage

void periods

, ensuring utilities and council tax are correctly registered and any liabilities are handled efficiently. Liaise with

utility providers and local councils

to resolve billing issues, disputes, or service delays. Record and submit

accurate meter readings

at the start and end of tenancies. Track and apply

council tax exemptions or discounts

where applicable. Maintain clear records of all property accounts, billing history, and communication logs. Assist the finance team with

reconciling bills

, allocating charges, and flagging discrepancies. Provide internal teams and tenants with clear updates or guidance on utility and council tax-related queries. Support sustainability or cost-saving initiatives through utility usage tracking and reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:



Previous experience in utilities or council tax administration, ideally within

property management

. Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with external providers and councils. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with property systems like MRI or Qube is advantageous. A problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
