We are seeking a skilled Utility Surveyor to join our small but very experienced team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of utility surveying principles and techniques, as well as proficiency in using AutoCAD. This role involves conducting utility surveys, using GPR equipment, gathering data, preparing survey reports and CAD drawings whilst ensuring accuracy at all times. The Surveyor will play a crucial role in various projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks, while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Conduct utility surveys using specialised equipment and techniques.
Prepare detailed reports and AutoCAD drawings that accurately represent survey findings.
Collaborate with team members and our clients to ensure project specifications are met. Work will be a hybrid between office or home office and on-site surveying at various sites across the UK. The successful candidate will be required to manage their time accordingly to ensure surveys are completed within permitted schedules and reports are completed and sent to the client within the agreed deadline.
Maintain accurate records of all survey data and documentation for future reference.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards throughout the surveying process.
Assist in the planning and execution of surveying projects from inception to completion.
Requirements
Proven experience in utility surveying or a related field is essential.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Strong understanding of CAD principles and data management techniques.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills and ensuring all deadlines are met.
A relevant certification in surveying or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
Willingness to learn new technologies and methods within the surveying field.
Although we are based in Wrexham, we work across the UK and there will be a requirement to travel to site to complete surveys. Therefore a full driving licence and a willingness to travel, as and when required is essential.
