A client providing academic tools and resources to universities and libraries globally is looking for a UX designer to help meet user needs and move their products and services forward. What you\'ll be doing

This is an end-to-end UX role, involving user research, insight-informed problem solving, building out wireframes and prototypes, and working on user interfaces. The successful User Experience designer will be primarily working on the organisation\'s SaaS tool, improving its usability.
Working in a team of 2 UX designers, but with support from a UX team of 10 from the academic publishing organisation that owns this company, this designer will be working alongside engineers, product owners and managers within the product team. Joining a small team, this designer will need to be a capable practitioner able to hit the ground running in a new organisation and make an immediate impact.

What experience you\'ll need to apply

  • Demonstrable experience in User Experience roles, with strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in standard research methods such as user testing, interviews, and competitor analysis.
  • Experience working with design tools like Figma.
  • Passion for web accessibility and understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA ideally).
  • Has worked in Agile environments.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present and justify design decisions.
  • Skill in information architecture and simplifying complex information.
