We\'re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and experienced UX product designer to be a key member of our pack, helping drive forward the customer experience through a user-centred approach to design and ingeniously simple design solutions.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be collaborating closely with developers to deliver innovative enhancements to website and app products, as well as the rest of the team to deliver wagtastic marketing imagery and lovely visual updates to our product and service.

You might not have startup experience but you\xe2\x80\x99ll understand the fast-moving, exciting, fun place that they can be to work, and you\'ll be willing and able to turn your hand to varied tasks. You thrive in a lean environment, where real user feedback shapes your designs.

Advocating the user\'s perspective, envisioning and wireframing user journeys, helping shape and manage the product roadmap and running A/B tests will be part of the role.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a persuasive communicator, organised, and with a real interest in using technology and design to help make a positive difference.

Requirements

  • A love of dogs
  • You can articulate how and why design is about meeting user needs, not just aesthetics
  • You have a strong aesthetic sense, creativity, and honed visual design skills
  • You have the technical analytical skills to objectively measure user behaviour and propose simple design solutions
  • You are skilled using Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Invision or Sketch, plus a wire-framing tool like Balsamiq or Axure
  • You are experienced in designing delightful experiences for complex processes on the web and iOS/Android apps
  • You are able to produce pixel perfect assets for multiple devices and platforms
  • You have created A/B testing plans and run A/B tests
  • You are able to help manage the product roadmap and use work management tool
  • You have experience with the full UX toolset, and are comfortable talking information architecture, personas, journey mapping, card sorting etc.
  • You collaborate well with developers and stakeholders in small teams where you\xe2\x80\x99ll be advocating the user\xe2\x80\x99s perspective
  • Good communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Nice-to-haves:
  • You can facilitate collaborative design sessions and workshops
  • You have developed style guides for team use
  • You have experience writing specification for CMS development and in particular headless CMS
  • You have some front end skills - enough to build an interactive prototype using CSS and HTML
  • You have experience running lab usability testing sessions
  • You\'re familiar with Agile development methodologies like Scrum
