The primary function of the VacForm
Operator is to ensure the smooth running of vacforming machineswithin the vacforming department, producing moulds to specifications with consistency and focus. Quality checking, Problem solving and liaising with VacForm Team Leader and Quality to ensure standards are met and exceeded where possible.
Main responsibilities include:
Follow all Health & Safety guidelines ensuring safety for themselves and others.
Ensure the department is a safe place to work by following & maintaining safety procedures, rules for protective equipment, and company dress code.
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working area through regular routines and adhering to housekeeping policies & procedures.
Maintain compliance with the companies QMS by following the company quality procedures.
Maintain the correct method of operation for all machines. Ensure adherence to specifications, operational requirements, cleaning regimes and H & S requirements.
Ensure quality checks are carried out and recorded as stated on Works Orders in line with specification requirements.
Carry out & record 1st off and last off as per quality procedure.
Be proactive with departmental changes and work to identify changes which would benefit production and its processes.
Communicate clearly and effectively with the opposite shift operator at handover of shifts.
Report any problems or issues to VacForm Team Leader
Shift pattern - 6PM to 6AM Monday - Thursday
(A minimum of 3 month induction and training on day shift 6am to 6pm with an hourly rate of 12.83 - Dependant on Experience )
26.5 days holiday per year, inclusive of Bank Holidays
