Purpose of the Role:
The Valeter supports the Quality Department in ensuring all finished furniture products are clean, well-presented, and meet company standards before despatch. The role is responsible for preparing furniture following production, assisting in quality inspections, and maintaining high standards of presentation to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold the company's reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare all finished furniture to a high standard prior to despatch.
Remove dust, debris, and residue from furniture items following manufacturing and assembly processes.
Conduct basic visual checks on furniture for marks, defects, or damage, and report any issues to the Quality Inspector or Supervisor.
Ensure each item meets company presentation and cleanliness standards before leaving the site.
Wrap, label, and prepare products correctly and securely for despatch.
Handle furniture carefully to prevent damage during movement and preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the valeting and inspection area.
Support the Quality Inspectors with final inspection and documentation processes.
Work collaboratively with production, quality, and despatch teams to ensure efficient workflow.
Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Skills & Experience:
Ability to identify visible quality or presentation issues.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product presentation standards.
Previous experience in cleaning, product preparation, or warehouse environments.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically capable of handling and moving large furniture items safely.
Reliable and organised with a strong work ethic.
