Job Description

A full time position is available immediately for an additional valeter / driver in a very busy Borders garage.

Joining a hardworking team where no two days are the same.

We are seeking an individual who has good experience of valeting vehicles to a very high standard.

You will be responsible for keeping our fleet of recovery trucks , pickups and vans looking immaculate, as well as ensuring our sales cars are presented in showroom condition.

You will be also be required to do some driving work - this could involve collecting or delivering cars, pickups or vans to customers, collecting parts, or even just moving vehicles in the yard etc. You will need to be confident to drive different types of vehicles up to 3.5ton.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking and conscientious, with a high standard of workmanship and will be someone who takes pride in their work, who is conscious of Health and Safety requirements, and the correct use of valeting products, chemicals, sprays, Power washers, wet/dry vac etc.

You will also be asked to carry out simple weekly equipment checks on the fleet - ensuring that each vehicle has the necessary equipment on board at all times- eg torch, fire extinguisher gloves, cones, hi viz vests, cable ties, first aid kit etc.

Cockburnspath is served by a regular bus route, but own transport would be ideal.

You will need a full, clean drivers licence.

Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and ability.

Salary: From 12 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Paid overtime is always available at weekends
