Value Stream Quality Engineer

to join our team and help drive manufacturing excellence within our day to day production operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive quality professional who thrives in a fast-paced shop floor production environment. You'll work collaboratively across production, engineering, and supply chain teams to uphold our commitment to world-class quality.

Key Responsibilities



Act as the primary point of contact for all quality activities within the value stream, production. Develop, maintain, and improve quality plans for all products and processes, including goods-in inspection. Support root cause analysis and the close-out of non-conformance reports (NCRs) alongside the Process Improvement Engineer. Work closely with Operations to introduce error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and reduce defects. Lead and facilitate kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives. Support New Product Introduction (NPI), assessing quality risks and feasibility as part of PPAP. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve non-conformances and enhance supply chain quality. Track and analyse data on scrap, rework, first-pass yield, and other key quality metrics. Conduct production line audits to ensure compliance with Teconnex quality standards. Participate in daily production and quality meetings. Review SPC data and initiate corrective actions as required. Ensure consistent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the shop floor. Provide immediate containment actions in response to customer issues or complaints.

What you will have:



Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and has used data analysis tools such as Minitab, Excel, and Power BI. Production, quality background, either as a technician or currently as a quality engineer. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lead, influence, and drive continuous improvement, supporting the production that we "get it right" 1st time for the customer. Able to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

Practical knowledge of the PPAP process and requirements.
