Role Overview:

You will assist the production manager in the day-to-day running of the Valve Assembly Department by providing shift leadership and coordinating all activities in line with the overall requirements of the business.



?This role will allow you to drive the department to achieve the required levels of safety, GMP, quality, cost, engagement, CI and other departmental initiatives such as training, operator development and admin.



Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Responsible for team performance, production requirements against master production. Motivate and develop operators, demonstrating the company's PRECISE values. Leadership of improvement projects in areas for safety, GMP, quality, cost and engagement & continuous improvement. Attend meetings to ensure supporting departments activities are aligned with MPS goals. Drive handover meetings for efficient/effective communication via the tier process. Provide guidance on priorities with the toolroom leader to deliver effective support to the manufacturing module. Work closely with the production manager to effectively manage/reduce manufacturing costs. Define, investigate, analyse, make, and communicate effective decisions on quality issues. Deputise for the production manager, providing overall leadership for the department. Responsible for shift admin activities including time reporting, holidays, consumables, and ERP activities. Support with the coaching and development of the team. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production demands.

Skills & Experience:



3+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous supervisor experience is preferable but not essential. Previous experience working in a regulated industry. Experience working with cross-functional and global teams. Knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma / Lean processes). Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience of using quality management software and resource planning software.

Working Hours:

Onsite - shifts are 06:00 to 14:00 and 13:45 to 21:45 - applicants are expected to cover both shift patterns.
