Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Drive a van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload items from the van, performing heavy lifting as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or damages. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including organising stock and preparing items for dispatch.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse or delivery environment. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
