We are becoming increasingly busy, hence the need to employee more people for our driving team.

The position involves driving vehicles of Sprinter and Luton size for nationwide deliveries. The largest vehicle you will need to drive is 3.5 tonne gross weight (normal car licence).

Being a driver at DAWS is a job that promises real variety. It's a hands-on role where you'll make things happen at pace.

We have a diverse range of high profile customers that require anything from basic A to B deliveries to Event Logistics and White Glove home deliveries

This is a full-time position, you will need to be able to work on a flexible basis, potentially involving early starts and/or late finishes as part of this role.

Living locally in the Bristol area is important.

Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with our clients and client's customers

You must be a Team player, friendly, family orientated, confident, Self-motivated, organised and have common sense in abundance.

Responsibilities



Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties as needed

Experience



Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred. A valid commercial driving licence is essential. Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations is advantageous. Experience in heavy lifting and handling large items is beneficial. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.

To be considered for this role you must have/be prepared to carry out the following:

Confident and competent to drive any vehicles up to 3.5 tonne gross vehicle weight.
Hold a full UK driving licence for more than 2 years (For insurance purposes)
Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence (For insurance purposes)
Must not been convicted of drink/drug driving offences (For insurance purposes)
Has not had a driving ban imposed for any reason (For insurance purposes)
Any personal/company accidents or claims must be declared (For insurance purposes)
Any Criminal convictions must be declared (For insurance purposes)
Any medical conditions must be declared (For insurance purposes)
Be able to communicate in written and spoken English
It is company policy to carry out DBS checks for all employee's.

References will be requested.
