Purpose of the role

Own the last mile and the first pick. You'll split your time between multi-drop van deliveries and warehouse picking/packing, so our promise--"order today ? despatch next day"--lands for every customer, safely and on time.

What you'll own

Delivery excellence: plan routes, load safely (weight distribution & restraint), complete daily vehicle checks, capture e-POD/signatures, and deliver with professional doorstep service. Pick & pack accuracy: scan/verify, package correctly, print labels, and stage to carrier cut-offs--zero rework. Goods-in & stock help: receive, check and book-in deliveries; put-away to pick faces; assist cycle counts and tidy replenishment. Safety & housekeeping: PPE and manual handling done right; report near-misses/defects; keep van and warehouse spotless.

Core responsibilities (contract detail)

Drive company van for multi-drop routes across Greater Manchester and nearby areas; load, secure and protect all goods. Complete e-POD (signatures/photos/notes), manage returns/RMA, and keep paperwork immaculate (PO refs, delivery notes). Pick customer orders, pack with appropriate materials, print carrier labels, and stage for despatch. Support goods-in: unload, count/condition check, book-in and put-away; help with replenishment and simple cycle counts. Use handheld scanners/label printers and carrier portals (DPD/DHL/UPS/pallet network) accurately. Perform and log daily vehicle checks; report defects immediately; keep van fuelled, clean and compliant. Follow all H&S/SSOW, manual-handling and UK road-safety policies.

Skills & experience

Full UK Category B driving licence and recent multi-drop experience. Proven picking/packing accuracy and warehouse discipline. Strong customer service; clear English on the doorstep and on the phone. Fit to lift up to 20 kg and be on your feet; calm under time pressure. (Nice to have) Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB/ITSSAR) for occasional pallet moves/replenishment.
