Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a

Delivery Van Drivers

for our companies within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge / Greenford / Southall / Hayes / West Drayton etc)

ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

PAYE 13.75 to 16.55 per hour (inc. holiday pay)

Day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends) start times between 5:30 and 8am

Duties expected of a Van Driver:

Multi-drop deliveries of high-end products (Cars/Vans, Catering Equipment, Plant and Tool hire Equipment, Alcohol) in and around the M25 and Central London Collecting products from suppliers Preparing customer orders prior to dispatch and loading orders onto vehicles Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues Some companies require constant heaving lifting for deliveries/collections! (lifting heavy items for a distant and up/down stairs) Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Rates of pay for a Van Driver:

We pay for a minimum of 8 hours a day (breaks are not paid) Overtime is paid after 9 hours PAYE between 13.75 and 16.55 per hour (including holiday pay)

Van Driver Requirements:

Valid UK manual CAT B licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes At least 1-year experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred (references required) No more than 1 hour commute for you to travel to work Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
