Horton Building Plastics are an independently owned Trade Retailer offering the latest innovative building plastics, windows and doors on the market.

We pride ourselves in the service we offer all of our customers. We are therefore looking for a highly motivated, self starter looking for an exciting opportunity in a fast growing company.

We require a full-time (40 hours) Delivery Driver with flexibility for early starts and staying away 1-2 days per week depending on delivery schedule for which accommodation and subsistence allowance will be paid.

Job Purpose

To ensure the safe, timely, and professional delivery of windows, building plastics and associated products to customers, maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

Support loading then transport, and deliver goods to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Ensure all deliveries are accurate and signed for upon receipt.

Plan delivery routes efficiently using provided schedules and navigation tools.

Maintain regular communication with the dispatch team and report any delays or issues.

Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the delivery van is clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.

Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading/unloading and stock checks.

Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point, representing the company professionally.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (clean preferred).

Previous experience in a delivery or driving role, ideally within the building supplies or construction sector.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely.

Strong communication and time management skills.

Reliable, punctual, and customer focused.

Majority of deliveries will be long distances with some local delivery drops when required

Ability to stay away up to 2 nights per week - accommodation plus 30 meal allowance paid on each stayover

Desirable

Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach).

Knowledge of building plastics or construction materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
