Job Title: Delivery Driver, immediate start

Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.

Brief description of the role:

Deliver customer orders as required, contributing to overall success of a high performing organisation and promoting the company brand through positive interaction with customers.

Responsible to: Branch Manager, Assistant Manager

Main Duties and Requirements :

Full UK Drivers Licence - Held for minimum of 3 years Knowledge of the area Deliver Product to customers premises on time Unload product at customers premises in relation to corresponding paperwork Receive a proof of delivery signature from customer Take payment if required (Cash/Cheque) and write out proof of takings Ensure high levels of customer service at all times Have 'the customer is always right' attitude Relay any customer issues verbally and promptly on your return to the relevant people Ensure the product is left in correct place as per customers instructions Maintain professional image Load your van according to procedures Place delivery advice notes in order of run Ensure product is loaded onto van in order or run Ensure the correct product is loaded in relation to corresponding paperwork Collect customer returns Load customer returns into a van for return to branch Complete relevant returns paperwork at customers premises Ensure relevant questions are asked in relation to why part is being returned
Van Maintenance

Carry Out daily checks Complete relevant paperwork Report any faults Help in warehouse as and when required Pick product in accordance with advice notes as and when required Offer help in between delivery runs Be enthusiastic when asked to help in other areas
Person Specification :

Essential

Holds full driving licence Great Team player Smart appearance and professional presentation Ability to understand necessity of excellent standards of customer service and work to deadlines Good Communication skills Works with integrity and in the interests of the company Good time keeper
Desirable

Experience within a previous delivery driver role in the cars parts and automotive industry Knowledge of car parts and automotive industry Previous cash handling Full clean driving license
