Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse environments, concise verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

Safely operate COMBIVAN vehicles, ensuring adherence to all road safety regulations and company policies. Deliver goods to various locations promptly and professionally, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury. Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or issues. Support warehouse activities such as organising stock, preparing orders for dispatch, and assisting with inventory management. Communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations throughout the delivery process.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable. Proven track record in warehouse environments or logistics roles is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Valid CLEAN UK driver's licence is essential; additional certifications related to commercial driving are a plus. Experience with delivery routes, navigation systems, or GPS devices is beneficial but not mandatory. Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
