Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a driver. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring reliable and timely service to our salons, customers, and Salon Supplies branches. The Branch Driver plays a key role in ensuring products, furniture, and equipment are delivered safely, accurately, and on time, while also supporting branch operations when not on delivery duties.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in commercial driving, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in delivery or warehouse operations to utilise their skills within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Logistics

Deliver products, furniture, and equipment to salons, customers, and other Salon Supplies branches Load, secure, and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods arrive in excellent condition Assemble and check delivery orders for accuracy before dispatch Collect returns, empty packaging, or faulty goods as required Handle customer paperwork, delivery notes, and signatures accurately Maintain a professional and courteous manner when representing the company on customer sites

Vehicle & Safety

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly Ensure compliance with road safety, driving regulations, and company policies Keep delivery vehicles clean, organised, and roadworthy at all times Follow manual handling procedures, particularly for furniture deliveries

Branch Support

Assist with stock handling, shelf filling, facing, and general housekeeping Support stock checks and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies Help with customer service tasks such as answering phones and assisting customers in branch when required Support basic administrative tasks related to deliveries and stock movement

Customer Service & Sales Support

Provide a positive customer experience during deliveries Promote Salon Supplies products, services, and exclusive lines when appropriate Represent the brand professionally through appearance, communication, and conduct

General Duties

Wear company uniform and PPE as required Maintain cleanliness and organisation of branch and warehouse areas Carry out additional reasonable duties in line with the role

Skills & Experience

Essential

Full, clean UK driving licence Experience in delivery driving or a similar logistics role Good knowledge of local routes and areas Strong attention to detail and time management Professional, friendly communication skills

Desirable

Experience delivering furniture or bulky items Forklift or manual handling training Experience working in a retail or wholesale environment
