VAN DRIVER AND TRAINEE OPERATIVE - NIGHT WORK (SUNDAY - THURSDAY)

Field & Lawn is one of the UK's largest suppliers and installers of Christmas lighting and city dressing, which includes many of London's best known displays along with a further 50 or so installations to towns and cities across the UK.

This position is based from our yard in Brislington, Bristol and would suit fit and energetic individuals who are striving for that little bit extra. Some of the work will require staying away from home - accommodation and meals are arranged by the company.

A typical crew consists of a team leader / operator and a ground crew operative. Each shift would involve you driving your team leader through to site often in a cherry picker and then working with direction from your team leader to carry out the required work allocated to your team.

Starting pay rate is 13.30. In addition, there is an additional payment per night shift of 20 for ground operatives and 10 for team leaders. We would be looking for employees who are keen to learn new skills and develop their understanding of the role and to progress into the position of team leader. Higher rates of pay would apply for this position.

You do not need any previous experience but would look for the following attributes:

Category B (car licence) essential

Ability to learn new skills

To be a team player

Enjoyment of work and the outdoors (whatever the weather)

Reliability, good humour and flexibility

Experience of working at height / IPAF license is helpful

We are recruiting for both temporary roles as well as for full time positions. We have multiple positions open from the middle of September as we begin to build our teams and run training courses for all our employees.
