Van Delivery Driver, Basildon
13.73 an hour Friday and Saturday
The Chesterford Group is looking for a reliable and pro-active Delivery Driver to join our warehouse & logistics team, delivering stock from our Basildon distribution centre to our stores across Essex, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, West Sussex and Oxfordshire. Training for this role may be conducted in a different distribution hub in Bishop's Stortford.
We are a family run business who love selling great quality fish and chips and we pride ourselves on our customer service and quality of product to help us stand out from the rest!
Main Responsibilities:
Start your day early (flexible start time before 7.30am) to ensure timely deliveries. The earlier you start, the earlier you finish! Pick and load stock from our warehouse and cold storages onto your van a Deliver goods to multiple store locations following a set delivery schedule Carry out essential vehicle and food safety checks before and during your route Assist with general warehouse duties, including keeping areas clean and organised Support the team by covering routes during staff annual leave and/or absence periods
Skills Required:
Confident driving skills across motorways and residential areas Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks (loading and unloading tasks) At least 1 year of experience driving a van or 7.5 tonne vehicle A team player with a positive attitude to good management
