Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to designated destinations. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch teams regarding progress or issues. Assist with warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and stock organisation. Perform basic mechanical checks and report any vehicle maintenance needs promptly. Uphold high standards of customer service during deliveries, including clear communication and professionalism.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or lorries. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is desirable. Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Experience with delivery routes, route planning, and time management. Familiarity with warehouse procedures and inventory systems is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent service delivery to succeed in this role.
