London Van Delivery Driver

The Role

As London Van Delivery Driver, the candidate will be responsible for daily van delivery runs to the London area, starting each day from our Burgess Hill premises. This will require following satnav directions along the designated delivery round, delivering site consumables and equipment to building sites and commercial premises. The candidate will also carry out regular vehicle cleaning and safety checks.

The role requires the candidate to:

Have previous experience of driving in central London

Work within time constraints and deadlines.

Be courteous and prompt, committed to providing customers with a pleasant experience

Have a full UK driving licence with no more than six points.

Skill Set

We are looking for an applicant with the following skill set:

Basic driving skills

Good timekeeping and communication

Friendly and professional demeanour

Ability to work with little supervision

Qualifications

-Applicants must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes
- Valid driving license
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus

The Package

The candidate's hours of work would be Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. There will be some give and take on the finish time as the delivery rounds vary from day to day.

The package will include 29,000 p.a. + Overtime. This includes twenty days paid holiday plus birthday and public holidays.
