Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record. Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is a plus. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
