We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a van driver. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, primarily focusing on delivery and transportation within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Duties

Safely operate vans and other commercial vehicles for delivery purposes Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance Load and unload goods efficiently, adhering to safety protocols Plan delivery routes effectively, ensuring timely deliveries to clients and warehouses Communicate clearly with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle logs, and maintenance schedules Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during operations

Requirements

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with vans or similar vehicles Valid UK driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations preferred Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading goods and lifting heavy items safely Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation Flexibility to work varied shifts as required; punctuality is essential
