Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate the van safely and efficiently, ensuring the secure transport of goods. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies. Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring they are handled properly to prevent damage. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines. Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is a plus but not essential.
