Job Description

Hygenol Cleaning Supplies is an independent Janitorial supply company supplying high quality products throughout North Wales and the North West. We have an excellent reputation with our customers and are looking for a van driver to join our team. This is a physical role and would suit an enthusiastic, energetic individual.

Starting Salary: 26,500

Monday - Friday: 40 hrs per week overtime available.

Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 penalty points and minimum age 25 due to insurance)

Duties



Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all road safety regulations. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and managing delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment.

Experience



Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is required. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and customers alike. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is mandatory, along with a clean driving record.
