The Transport Manager
Deliver goods and services to customer premises, safely and consistently, in line with the company's commitment to provide customers with the best tools, service and support for every trade and task.
You'll have a positive outlook that will help you thrive in the achievement of the following daily responsibilities:
Organise parcels securely and logically onto vehicle, confirming with the handheld terminals to ensure accuracy, efficiency and traceability of consignments.
Provide excellent customer service to develop and maintain existing client relationships.
Operate vehicle in a professional manner, in accordance with the company's policies, protecting the company's reputation whilst carrying out the service.
Collect real-time proof of delivery on the handheld terminals to assist with speedy resolution of subsequent customer queries.
Update line manager with feedback from customers, or changes on the routes to ensure accurate information is noted on relevant platforms ensuring full visibility for all departments.
Observe company procedures regarding accident reporting and insurance claims within the allowed timescales, preventing delays in payments and potential losses.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform vehicle safety checks in accordance with health and safety policy, notifying the line manager of defects for immediate correction.
Ensure all paperwork is fully completed accurately and on time, enabling the continuous flow of information.
Ensure the correct PPE is worn whilst at work and undertake work in a safe manner in full compliance with company policy/procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Perform tasks to a high level of accuracy and efficiency, ensuring agreed KPI's are achieved.
What are we looking for?
Full UK Driving Licence
2 years Delivery Driving experience
Effective communication skills
Numerical and reading skills.
General knowledge geographical area
Basic computer skills
Learns new skills and applies newly acquired knowledge.
