Van Driver – Pharmaceutical Delivery
Job Description
Driver Hire Dundee are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Drop Van Driver to join our client, a well-established national company, operating from their Dundee depot.
This is a dayshift position, delivering tote boxes to pharmacies across Tayside and Perthshire with around 7 locations on your route. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading your vehicle, so a good level of manual handling is essential.
The successful candidate will be selected for a competency assessment on site initially in September - this will include a hazard perception assessment and an on-road assessment. An induction will then be completed if selected by the client. You may also be subject to random drug and alcohol testing on site.
Requirements & Pay:
- Category B entitlement on your UK driving licence
- No more than 3 points (minor offences accepted)
- 1 year commercial driving experience - essential for insurance purposes - employment references must be provided to demonstrate this
- Must be able to work Monday to Saturday shift pattern - Shifts will be available throughout the year for sickness/holiday cover up to 26 weeks
- The ideal candidate must be available for last minute cover
- Excellent customer service skills
- 06:30 start time
- 14.01 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
