Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies Deliver goods to designated locations efficiently and on time, maintaining professional communication with clients and dispatch teams Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety and compliance Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation in accordance with company procedures Follow all health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment at all times Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory movement and storage as required

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery routes or logistics operations Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence or equivalent qualification Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting Experience operating flatbed lorries or similar large vehicles is preferred Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with clients, colleagues, and dispatch teams Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding cargo handling procedures Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently Organised approach to work with attention to detail in record keeping and route planning
