Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all driving regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a van for the safe delivery of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any delays or issues promptly. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of deliveries. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and conduct.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with appropriate classifications for van operation. Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle is advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading goods. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when managing delivery schedules.
