Van Driver Secure Collection Operative
Job Description
Van driver position based in Southampton covering the South West and South coast
This is multi collection role, averaging 15+ collections per day.
We require anyone applying for this role to be prepared to undertake physical manual handling tasks, be great at customer services and able to do occasional nights out and pass our security vetting checks.
Nights out are paid at 25 per night with hotel accommodation provided - primarily Travelodge and Premier Inn
Being the face of Shred Station and interacting with our customers on a daily basis means no 2 days are the same and you have the opportunity to develop relationships with the same customers on a regular basis.
Main Duties:
Great Customer services Hard working, enthusiastic and reliable Adhere to all driving, working time, and transport regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Drive responsibly to uphold Shred Station's high standards. Be prepared to undertake physical task, including collecting confidential material. Maintain the security of company and customer information in line with GDPR regulations. Ensure confidential information is destroyed appropriately. Complete electronic collection notes with a high degree of accuracy.
Required:
Valid Category B Licence. Friendly, engaging, enthusiastic, and willing to exceed expectations. Flexible with working hours and able to do nights out when required. Physically fit. Undertake training related to all aspects of our company's environment. Prepared to undertake security checks from various UK Police Forces up to UK Government SC level including DBS every 3 years.
To be considered for this role you will be required to meet security screening checks to BS7858 standards including; 5-year employment & residence check, DBS and a financial history check.
